The Brides Best Friends:
Dollar stores, thrift stores, garage sales, ebay and SPRAY PAINT! Have you ever seen the PERFECT thing that you would love at your upcoming wedding in a thrift store....except it's from the 1960's and it's the color of orange shag carpet? It's SPRAY PAINT TIME!!! There are SO many types of spray paint out there for crafts such as wood, plastic, metal, flowers, clear glitter for a hint of sparkle and shine, and SO many more!!! If you end up hating the color it turned out, just use a different color!
At my wedding, it was focused around roses, burgandy and silver. Since silver rose petals are more expensive....I had a spray paint party and changed the color of more that half of the white rose petals into metallic silver. But don't do this the day before the wedding....they will still smell!
ALWAYS do it outside, put a painters plastic sheet down, a mask and gloves (goggles may help too) and just GO TO TOWN! Even adding a clear coat of a simple 'giitter' spray paint can add the perfect (and unique) touch!

~Candles~
Candles are amazing....but the ones rich in color are 2x more expensive! If you want some truly unique candles- get yourself some artificial flower spray (it's only a hint of color and can become more deep with more layers) and some painters tape. Tape off the type of pattern you want to create. They can be stripes, swirls, anything!!! Or use lace, or a scrapbook sheet with pop out designs. Pop the design out, then use the sheet as a stencil!!!

~Yes You Can Do This!~
Would you love this for your ceremony? You can make it yourself!!!
There are SO many variations to this, the sky is the limit!!! It can be simple yet beautiful, or full out like above! And believe it or not, it is a lot easier than it looks!
Here is what you will need:
1) 4 planter pots (medium large to large) terra cotta pots work just fine!
2) Sand and Gravel
3) 8 thick bamboo rods (you can even use 2x4s however you may want to varnish them) You will want each of them 8 or 9 feet tall.
4) Figure out how big you would like the structure. Mark the spots and put the pots in each spot. Put one of the rods centered into the pot, and hold it straight up. Have someone pour first the sand, then the gravel- If the pots are not going to be covered with fabric, if desired, simply prime them and spray paint in any color you choose. Repeat this with the other 3 poles.
5) Get a ladder! Put the other 4 rods on top of the structure one at a time. Have your soon to be hubby (or you!) drill long screws into all of the top pieces to connect to the main frame. Now it should be REALLY sturdy!!!
6) If you are covering the top with fabric....lay the fabric completely out. Sew or hot glue 2 ribbons on each corner of the fabric. For example, one ribbon should face west and the other north. This way, you can easily tie the fabric to the poles at each corner.
7) Now the fun part! Here are just a few ideas. Take string lights and wrap them up each vertical pole. Now do the same with tulle, then do the same with ivy. Simple, yet gorgeous!
OR
On the back of the structure, hot glue a beaded crystal curtain, strands of crystals, or strands of little mirrors, flowers, ANYTHING! ) OR buy sparkly tulle or organza and drape that in the back. Behind the curtain drape icicle lights or long strands of LED lights. If the curtain/tulle is sparkly, the effect will be AMAZING!!!!!
You can also do this behind the head table at the reception, but with a longer and more rectangler shape.
